Your firm is invited to submit a Bid under seal to the Owner for the completion of the Project located in Cullman County, Alabama. Bids shall be received by the Owner until 2 pm local time on Tuesday, November 14, 2017. Any Bids received after the specified time will not be considered. Bids will be publically opened and read aloud at the Training Room at the office of the Cullman County Water Department located at 2020 Beech Avenue SE, Cullman, Alabama 35056.

The Project generally consists of sandblasting and recoating the interior surface and pressure washing and recoating the exterior of two elevated water tanks: 1. Owen Ridge 200,000 gallon water tank, located on Buck Road in Morgan County, Alabama; 2. County Line 100,000 gallon water tank located on Graham Circle in Morgan County, Alabama. The Owner requires the Owen Ridge tank to be substantially complete in 90 calendar days and the County Line tank to be substantially complete in 180 calendar days from the date that the Contract Times commence to run as indicated on the Notice to Proceed.

A prebid conference will be held at 10:00 AM local time on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at the Cullman County Water Department Training Room. Representatives of Owner and Engineer will be present to discuss the Project. Attendance of the prebid conference is STRONGLY ENCOURAGED.

In order to Bid on the Project, the Bidder shall possess a valid General Contractor’s license and relevant classification for this work in the State of Alabama. The Contractor’s license number shall be clearly indicated on the outside of sealed Bid envelopes.

Bidder and its Subcontractors shall comply with all applicable licensing requirements of the Code of Alabama, federal and local Laws or Regulations.

A cashier’s check or bid bond payable to the Owner in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the amount of the bid, but in no event more than $10,000, must accompany the bidder’s proposal. The Successful Bidder will be required to furnish the additional bond(s) and evidence of insurance as prescribed in the Bidding Documents. Bidders are directed to the Instructions to Bidders - Document 00 21 15 and the other Bidding Documents.

Bidding Documents may be examined in Cullman at the office of the Engineer. Bidding documents may be obtained at the Engineer’s office upon nonrefundable payment of $40.00 for each set of documents. Documents provided will include one set of the drawings, legal requirements and technical specifications.

Bid shall be submitted on the Bid Form provided. Bidders may supplement this form as appropriate. Your Bid will be required to be submitted under a condition of irrevocability for a period of 60 days from the date of the opening of Bids.

Each Bidder and each Subcontractor is required to complete and submit Document 00 45 00 Affidavit of Immigration Compliance along with their E-Verify Program Memorandum of Understanding at the time of the Bid. No Contract will be awarded to any Bidder who does not submit the required Immigration Compliance documents.

The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids.
